| Answer / Solution |
To restore your SQL datafile backup to a new computer, there is a special procedure that you must follow: 1. On your new computer, click File > Data Files > New. 2. In this field, enter the name of the data file that you are trying to restore, then click "OK". It must be typed exactly as it is in Tenant Pro. This can be found by opening the datafile on your old computer. The name of the data file is at the top of Tenant Pro.
3. On your new computer, click File > Restore, then click "Yes" on the window that pops up. 4. Click on the checkbox next to the datafile that you are trying to restore (this should be one that you entered in step 2). 5. Click on the checkbox next to "Use alternative path other than default location" 6. Click "Browse". 7. Navigate to the location where you have the copy of your data file, select it, and click "open". **Please note that if you compressed the backup, you must select ".zip" from the "Files of type" field so that you can select your data file** 8. Click "Restore" 9. Click File > Login 10. Click File > Data Files 11. Select your data file, and click "Open". |
