Tenant Pro 7: Current Known Issues

Answer / Solution

In an effort to keep our software users informed of the current known issues and resolutions (when applicable) we have created this list of our current version’s known issues.  Please reference this list of our known issues and instructions for resolutions, workarounds, and/or updates on the progress of correcting these issues.  This list will be updated as we work through these issues.  We apologize for any inconveniences and appreciate your patience.

 

Please ensure that you are on the latest build of Tenant Pro 7, as many known issues are fixed in our updates.  To verify your build, open Tenant Pro 7, click on Help  > About

Most Known Issues that currently exist in Tenant Pro 7 have been corrected in an upcoming new Version, Tenant Pro Complete, which is due for release in 2010.  For more information concerning Tenant Pro Complete, please contact your Account Manager at (800) 964-2792 option 1

Social Security Numbers are not displaying correctly in the Tenant Notes tab of the Tenant record, and is causing an error message saying they are not formatted correctly when changes are made to the Tenant record.

WORKAROUND:   Reenter the Tenant’s Social Security Number.

The Move Out Wizard displays the correct Security Deposit amount for the Tenant, but the printed Closing Statement does not.  This only applies to Tenants that have a roommate sharing a Jointly-Responsible Lease, and only if the Tenant moved out is not the first on the Tenant Info tab of the Lease window.

We are aware of this issue and are currently developing a resolution

If a Tenant is moved out of a Unit, and then moved back in to that same Unit, the Tenant Payment amounts will be doubled on the Tenant Ledger and the Tenant Payment window.

Printed Vendor Ledger for "Open Only Bill Transactions" is including paid transactions

Custom fonts do not display the Management Company’s name, in the selected font, on reports

Fast Build does not save changes to Deposit Amount if a Template is being used

Overpayment of management fees through Paymatic can occur when multiple Additional Fees are set up, but not used for all properties.  This was allowing payment of fees on certain properties for Additional Fee accounts  from other Property setups instead of only Additional Fees set up for that specific property.

When running QuickBooks integration export, receiving error – Credit/Debit Entries are not in balance

FIXED: This issue was fixed in our Tenant Pro 7.6.5 release for all future transactions, however, it may be necessary to contact technical support for assistance in resolving any existing transactions that are still causing this to be out of balance.

Unit Inventory list does not display all Units

We are aware of this issue and are currently developing a resolution

Reminders List of Lease Expirations only shows future dated leases.  

WORKAROUND: Use Lease Expiration Report using settings of: All Properties, Include Current Leases, leave Beg Date blank, use End Date of current date, and set a value for "Show # Days Before Due" in Preferences.

When using Property/Unit Template to create a Single Family Home property, the address does not save to the unit record. It must be re-entered.

Work Orders created with Transaction Templates are not displaying the correct Reported Date.

WORKAROUND:  change the Freeze date from 12/31/09 to 01/01/10

Margin adjustments for 1099s do not affect pre-printed forms

WORKAROUND:  export 1099 report to Excel and adjust margins using Page Setup

Tenant Payment Amounts are doubled when Tenant is moved out, and then back in to the same Unit and Lease

WORKAROUND:  delete all Transactions from the Lease Ledger, move the Tenant out, delete the Lease, and then move the Tenant back in with a new Lease, and recreate the Ledger

Deposits are unable to be edited because they are locked even though the Bank Reconciliation window shows they are uncleared

WORKAROUND:  create a new deposit with a different deposit number

Error - "Column 'Generate 1099sByOwner' does not exist" when editing an Owner record

This issue is due to the unique settings of users’ environments; please contact Support for a resolution

Error - "Input Data not in correct format"  in Batch Tenant Payments due to a non-numerical  Batch ID

WORKAROUND:  only use numerals in the Batch ID field

Error – “Before paying bills please set up an Owner under ‘Management Company Financials’ in ‘Setup’ -> ‘Management Company’ Menu” when paying Bills

This is an incorrect error message; please verify the Property Freeze Date of the Properties for which you are paying bills

Tenants with zero balances are not showing on Aged Tenant Delinquency Report - even when "Show zero/credit balance accounts" is selected

FIXED:  This issue has been fixed in Tenant Pro Complete
