Question / Issue
How can I setup custom or blank check stock so Tenant Pro 7 will print my checks?

Answer / Solution

If you do not use the preprinted Tenant Pro Checks you may wish to setup your own check layout to accomodate your unique check stock. The Check Layout feature provides the flexibilty to setup check formatting for blank and some preprinted check stocks. Please review the steps below to begin using the custom Check Layout tool.

1. Open Tenant Pro 7 and navigate to Setup>Bank Accounts

2. Choose the desired bank account from the dropdown menu, then select the Check Stock option Use Blank (MICR) Check Stock. You will notice the icon label Check Layout is now activated, left click on this icon.

3. You will now have the ability to select formatting options for the bank account's check. You may select the field options on the right to include or not include in the body of the check. Once you have properly selected the fields to be included on the check layout, you may drag and drop (left-click and hold, then positioin the field with the moust) them to their desired location. Once you have your layout formatted you can print a test check to review your layout. To do this, select the icon Print Test Check (NOTE: to save your check stock, you may want to make a few copies of your check stock to regular paper for the testing step). Once you have completed the formatting of your check layout, enter a Check Layout name and select Save.

 4. A pop-up window should now appear to associate the Check Layout to the selected bank. If you desire to link the layout to the bank, select Yes. Your custom check layout is now complete.
